Magazine vs Film opening??

 Coming into class today I wasn't sure which brief I would end up choosing. But my partner Emma and I have decided that a magazine would work best for our strengths. We talked about all the different things we would be able to do together, and searched up all different kinds of magazines that we could do. We looked at travel, lifestyle, and beauty magazines. However, we both got super excited over the idea of possibly doing a baking or desert magazine. We realized we could do different seasons, such as fall and winter. We thought about how we could blog our journey about choosing what deserts, and baking them ourselves to take photos to place on our magazine. We are not sure if its going to show recopies or just different treats, were still finalizing our idea but I'm already very excited to start working!

 This is  POV or "point of view" shot is showing what the characters view of the scene would be. Only having the arm of the character visible was done intentionally to have the "point of view" effect. In this photo a character is holding hands and walking down a path with their friend. When taking this photo I made sure to hold it close to my face to really capture what my perspective or POV genuinely was.  This is a two shot, both characters are facing one another smiling. This signals at friendly conversation. They have some distance between one another which is done intentionally to show that they know each other but are not very close. This was a fairly simple shot to take as I did not have to take any extra precautions other than ensuring that both people were in frame.  This is a Dutch/canted angle shot, featuring someone looking confused, shocked, and scared all at the same time.  Hello! I am Allison Tesseo and some things I really love about media is its versatility and range. The study of media is so relevant in our world as it covers such a wide variety of the information and entertainment that we use and enjoy every single day. It consists of everything from watching TV to reading newspapers. Yet, media is so much more than what it seems at first glance. AICE media studies will hopefully allow me to break down and analyze all different forms of media. Giving me a better understanding of what I'm really looking at or listening to. I hope that this class will help me really appreciate all of the media that I am consuming. Allowing me to have a greater skills that I can actually use and apply into daily life. I hope this class will build my creativity and give me a more technical view on my favorite forms of media such as movies and tv shows.
